Hi, my name is Yvonne and my life has been turned around with the help of Phoenix Health.
I had gradually put weight on over the past few years and I told everyone that I wasn’t too worried about it – I am what I am. Until I had a health scare and I knew I had to do something about it.
I had Phoenix Health recommended to me. It started with a mini consultation with Consultant Surgeon Miss Jennifer Darrien and she explained everything and talked to me about the different options for different weight loss surgery. I came away feeling that there was a light at the end of the tunnel – I thought I had gone so far down the line i couldn’t see any way back. I had appointments made by Barbara and met with Charli the dietician and specialist nurses who had experience in this kind of surgery. I met again with Miss Darrien and started the ball rolling.
I was booked in to have my op on the 17th September 2018. While waiting to go down to surgery another health problem arose and after consulting with colleagues Miss Darrien postponed my surgery until I was back on track. I was gutted to be honest but they kept me focused on getting well and on the 29th October lsst year I had the surgery.
I haven’t looked back and just wish I had done it sooner. I have lost almost 6 stone to date and have gone from a size 24 to a 14/16. I can eat anything I want just in a smaller portion and eat fresh tasty meals . I never feel hungry and don’t crave anything as I can have a small amount of what I fancy. I eat plenty of protein and enjoy my food so much more now .
