Meet The Surgeon

How long will I be in hospital after weight loss surgery?

The length of your hospital stay after weight loss surgery is usually 1-2 nights depending upon the type of surgery you have had. After keyhole surgery, recovery tends to be fast. If you’ve had a gastric band, you’d typically be able to leave hospital the next morning. For the more complex operations such as the gastric sleeve or gastric bypass you can expect to be in hospital for 2 nights.
