Meet The Surgeon

What will eating be like after weight loss surgery?

Although you will be able to return to eating normal types of solid foods fairly quickly after surgery, eating after weight loss surgery will still be ‘different’. You won’t be eating the same portion size as you are now and most people would tend to have a child’s portion or starter for a main course if they eat out. What the operation will encourage you to do is chew your food incredibly carefully and eat very slowly, as eating large mouthfuls can cause discomfort and retching.
