Meet The Surgeon

How much excess skin will I have after weight loss surgery, and what can I do to prevent/minimise it?

After weight loss surgery you are quite likely to have loose skin, which is a big issue for many bariatric patients. You may want to consider surgical removal of the excess skin (often this is only available privately). However, if you are younger, have good natural elasticity to your skin and it hasn’t been damaged by smoking or over-stretching with multiple pregnancies, there is a chance that the skin will return almost to normal.
