Meet The Surgeon

Are there any non-surgical procedures for weight loss?

There are several non-surgical procedures to help with weight loss but it is fair to say that in general these are either temporary measures or not as successful as keyhole surgery at producing weight loss. One option is the gastric balloon, which has to be removed after 6 – 12 months. The newer Elipse balloon is swallowed (as a large tablet) with a glass of water. It biodegrades after 4 months and so does not usually need to be removed.
